Trailer Move Information

Trailer Move Requirements

Warehouse Options (formerly Mobile Mini-Warehousing of Southern Colorado) has been providing storage trailers to the Southern Colorado region for over 20 years. Our business focus has always been storage trailers. One of the services we provide is moving our storage trailers from one location to another. This can be very useful in many industries, such as construction, because you are able to have a everything you need at your job site and when the job is over you can move it all at once to a new site.

In recent years we have experienced an increase in move requests. We are glad to provide this service but there are a few issues that must be addressed. There are potential problems when doing these moves, so we ask that you review this information before calling us to schedule a move.

When requesting a trailer move, please be aware of these considerations:

* You are responsible for making sure that the contents of the trailer are secured and ready to move.

* You must remove any items stacked under the trailer that will prevent it from being moved.

* There must be easy access for a tractor to hook up to the trailer. No cars, equipment, trash dumpsters, etc. can be in front of or near the trailer.

* The path for the truck to pull the trailer out must be clear.

* You may choose to wait on your move depending on weather conditions. Trailers parked on soft ground (such as a dirt field) can be difficult to move and time spent getting a trailer unstuck will be added to hourly move charges.

* Will there be someone at the new location to show us where to park the trailer. While we can use a map or thorough directions to park the trailer, if you have a very specific place you would like the trailer parked you should have someone there to show the driver exactly where you want it. If we have to come back out to move it, you will be charged $50 per hour for the transportation to and from the location.

* Notify us of any visible signs of damage so we can inspect the trailer before it is on the road.

If the trailer is not a Warehouse Options unit, you must meet these additional restrictions:

* The trailer must be road-worthy or our driver will not move it and you will be billed for the driver's time going to and from the trailer.

* Tires cannot be low or flat.

* Lights and brakes must be in legal working order.

* If trailer has signs, electrical wires or vents attached, they cannot be more than 102" wide and 13'6" high.

* All semi-trailers must have DOT approved red/white reflective tape on the sides and rear of the trailer.

* Trailer must have a current license and registration and must be shown to the driver prior to moving the unit.

* All commercial vehicles must have an annual inspection performed by a qualified inspector. Proof of this inspection must also be presented to the driver in advance.

We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, so plan your move accordingly. If you need the trailer moved at a specific time, please communicate that to our dispatch prior to the day of the move, and then call on the scheduled day to confirm.

If you are interested in scheduling a move please call our dispatch Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
